1. Description
Lapsang souchong refers to the black tea products that are made from the fresh leaves of tea trees in Tongmu Village, Xingcun Town, Wuyishan City, and Wuyi Mountain Nature Reserve, with local traditional craftsmanship and the unique aroma of dried cinnamon and pine smoke.
The original name of lapsang souchong is “Tongmuguan Zhengshan Xiao zhong”, also known as “Lapu Shan Xiao zhong”, which is one of the oldest black teas in the world and is also the originator of the world's black tea.
Dried Tea: The strings are strong and tight, even and clean, the color is black and oily, with a special fragrance of turpentine and dried osmanthus.
Tea Soup: Soup color is orange-yellow and bright, taste is mellow and sweet, alpine rhyme is obvious, aroma is high and long, and there is fragrance of dried osmanthus and pine smoke.
2. History
Lapsang souchong was first created in Tongmu area of Chong'an County, Fujian Province, with a history of more than 400 years, by local tea farmers deep in Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province, in the mid-to-late Ming Dynasty by chance.
