1.Description

This is a mid-maturing hybrid winter melon. The plant grows vigorously and is tolerant of both heat and cold. It is also highly resistant to disease. The melons are uniform and easy to grow, with a growth period of 110-160 days for spring planting. The fruit is long and cylindrical with a blunt round top, with a uniform black skin and thick flesh. The flesh is dense, sweet, and delicious, and the melon can be stored for a long time. Each melon is about 80-100 cm long, 18-22 cm in diameter, and weighs 15-20 kilograms.

Note: Compared to other small winter melons, large black skin winter melon takes longer to sprout (5-10 days at about 85~90F), and it also takes longer to grow and mature. As a result, it’s important to have patience when growing this melon, especially for beginners. 注：黑皮大冬瓜发芽比其他小冬瓜需要的时间更久（温度在85~90F左右需要5~10天），瓜生长和成熟的时间更久，新手种植的时候一定要有耐心。

Please be aware that winter/fuzzy melon is one of the most difficult seeds to germinate. Typical germination rate starts at 65% depending on germination method and varieties.
