1.Description
This small winter melon is an early-maturing variety with strong growth and a high ability to produce fruit continuously. The first fruit grows at around the 9-15th node and a female flower appears every 3-4 nodes. The individual fruit weighs between 1.5-3 kilograms and is cylindrical in shape, with a length of about 25 centimeters and a diameter of about 12 centimeters. The mature fruit is covered with a white wax powder. The flesh is dense and has a refreshing, sweet taste.
该小冬瓜为早熟品种,长势旺,连续座瓜能力强,第一座瓜节位在9-15节,隔3-4节着生一雌花,单瓜1.5-3公斤,瓜圆筒形,瓜长25厘米左右,粗12厘米左右,老熟瓜披白色腊粉。肉质质密,品质清甜爽口。

3. Description of the seeding process
播种/育苗 冬瓜/结瓜需要进行催芽处理,水温25℃~30℃浸泡 48 小时以上,捞出种子洗净,用湿除用纸包好,装入不封口的塑料袋里,置于温暖处(27~32℃)催芽,每两天把种子拿出来清洗后再包进新的除用纸。5~10 天把发芽后的种子转移到育苗盆里。没发芽的继续催芽。放在温暖阳光充足的地方。等3~4片子叶生成后,移栽到地里。 种植管理 冬/节瓜长藤时引蔓上架主侧蔓都可以结果,确保水肥充足,适当剪去弱病枝;光照充足,通风良好有利于开花结果。 收获 从嫩瓜到老瓜可以随时食用,老瓜可以储存更久。 |
Sowing/seed starting Bitter melon should be germinated before sowing. Soak in warm water (78~95 F) for at least 48 hours. Wash well and wrap in wet paper towel. Put in a loose plastic bag and leave in a warm place(80~90F). Every two days, wash the seed well and wrap with new wet paper towel, same method to continue germination. In 5~10 days, transfer germinated seeds in seed starter. Continue to germinate the rest. Place seed starter in a sunny and warm place. Transplant when seedlings grow 3~4 leaves. Care Direct vines on to trellis. lt will fruit on both main and side vines. Remove week and silk vines if needed. Plenty direct sunlight and good ventilation help better flowering and fruiting. Harvest From young fruits to old fruits, pick them anytime you want. Young fruits should be consumed ASAP. Old fruits can be stored for weeks to months. |
